Reflecting on the class.

I really like working in flash so far in this class. It's fun and easy but I find the globaloria website hard to use. I think there should be more then 2-3 tutorials about each topic on the website rather than what they have. The ones on the website are not in-depth and they don't explore what I would like to explore.

The Electric Tower's Electric Tower

See this picture? This is a picture of an Electric Tower. It represents what our whole games is about. That is pretty obvious because our game is called 'The Electric Tower.' The many towers in our game will have to be powered with electricity. This tower really stands out because it represents everything our game is about.

A New Helpful Link.

I couldn't find a useful blog in my local knowledge community so I searched around on a good search engine. This is what I found. It really gives some great flash tips for beginners. For example, it explains how to make buttons that lead to websites on the flash game which could be useful for linking it to the wiki. Another example is when it tells you how to add in a right-click menu in ActionScript.

Narrative Storytelling

Team Super Freak is telling our story through the About Page and various instructions throughout our game. Zeitgeist in the Playing To Learn topic told the story through a series of scenes scattered throughout the game. Other narratives have influenced our game because all good games have narratives.

Drawing the Scene

I've learned how addition is both commutative and associative ; meaning that when you add order does not matter and one adds more than two numbers. I learned about this when we looked at wikipedia to learn more about math. I thought about it and that website was especially helpful and informative.

The Electric Tower

This assignment helped me with my game idea because it really helped me put my thoughts down and organize them. Before it was just a bunch of ideas floating around in my head. We changed some stuff because we thought it would be nearly impossible to do some of the stuff we imagined.
